Leh acclimatisation
Shanti Stupa at sunset, Leh Palace, easy hike.
Sham Valley loop
Alchi, Likir, and the confluence of the Indus and Zanskar.
Leh to Nubra via Khardung La
Cross the great pass, descend into green Nubra.
Nubra dunes and Diskit
Camel safari, Diskit monastery, campfire star-gazing.
Nubra to Pangong Lake
Long day across Shyok, arrive lakeside for sunset.
Pangong to Leh via Chang La
Sunrise at the lake, Hemis monastery.
